If you want to learn how to use Willo’s abilities, and what cards to include in her most effective builds, this guide has you covered.

How to Use Willo’s Skills in Paladins

Wand of Overgrowth

The Wand is Willo’s default weapon ability that allows her to shoot projectiles at the enemies dealing 500 damage in an AOE manner. This means that in case the wand hits several enemies at once, that damage will be distributed according to the accuracy of the shot.

Dead Zone

The cooldown on this ability is 15 seconds – but if it hits right, the results could be incredible. This effect is similar to Cauterize, though that item only prevents healing for 1.5s as opposed to Willo’s 4s. On top of that, Willo’s spore is an AOE effect. So it can cover more enemies at the same time, but it also makes it easier for them to move out of the area of effect if their position allows for it.

In any case, it’s a super strong ability and that be used constantly on the competitive scene.

Seedling

Yes, your math is correct – this skill lets Willo deal 2,500 damage points in a span of 2s. However, players with quick responses can get out of the area of effect before the other four seeds blow up. So try to activate Seedling when opponents are in an enclosure, or don’t have the time to escape.

Flutter

It’s not exactly flying, but it does let you go overhead of most opponents for a second, thus giving you a huge advantage on the battlefield. Using accompanying cards in your loadaout may increase the air pull and let Willo jump on a high ledge and shoot from there.

You can also use this to quickly overcome certain obstacles instead of running around them, or escape the annoying chasers until they just decide to leave you alone.

Fae Flight (Ultimate)

Now this is real flying, although for just a short period of time. But there are no limits to Willo’s flying ability, so she can fly in any direction. She also retains her mobility during flight, which makes Willo extremely hard to shoot.

This skill also makes Willo the best scout in the game, as she can literally see the entire map from the sky. In combination with Seedling and other abilities, Fae Flight already makes Willo one of the most OP heroes in Paladins.

Best Cards and Loadouts for Willo in Paladins

There is one huge disadvantage to Willo’s abilities – the cooldown times are ridiculously long, so you definitely need to find the way to reduce those as much as possible. Here are some of the most important cards that you need to add for a balanced build.

Just Believe

Rarity: Rare Ability: Armor

Eliminations reduce active cooldowns by 40%! This card is essential for Willo, and without it you will find yourself uselessly wasting time waiting for those abilities to charge up. But with the help of Just Believe, every elimination will reduce the wait, and you will be twice as effective.

Spritely

Rarity: Rare Ability: Flutter

If you plan on using Willo’s Flutter skill fairly often, make sure you have Spritely in your loadout. It increases your air control during the descending phase by 15%.

Flitter

Rarity: Epic Ability: Flutter

Flitter reduces the cooldown of Flutter by 0.5s. It may seem like no big deal, but in such fast-paced shooter like Paladins, that half-second may save your life.

Sprouts

Rarity: Epic Ability: Seedling

Willo’s powerful AOE must not be ignored either. This card reduces the cooldown of Seedling ability by 2s. So you’ll have it at the ready when Grover pops his annoying heal ultimate.

Scorn

Rarity: Legendary Ability: Seedling

Scorn adds another 350 damage to each seedling. There are five seedlings in total, which means this card brings their already impressive cumulative damage up to 4,250 points. That’s incredibly powerful!

Blastflower

Rarity: Legendary Ability: Weapon

Blastflower lets you stack up 50 damage every time you hit an enemy using your weapon ability. Willo will start at 500, and then it scales up to 550, 600, 650, and 700. This increases the overall DPS of Willo by 40%.

Scorched Earth

Rarity: Legendary Ability: Dead Zone

In addition to restricting all healing for 2-4s, Willo will now be able to damage the enemies’ shields. In just 2s, any shield in the game could be broken with the help of Scorched Earth.
